Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Your Impact

As a Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Manager you provide specialist advice to line managers, ensuring compliance and fostering continuous improvement in SHE practices within the factory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance to line managers on Health, Safety, and Environmental management practices.
  • Identify SHE priorities and opportunities for improvement at the site level, developing and enhancing site SHE programmes.
  • Oversee implementation of the Environmental Management System and relevant market standards, and deliver training and coaching to managers and team leaders.
  • Ensure regular audits and assessments of compliance, using results to drive further improvements and maintain certification to relevant safety and environmental standards.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including trade unions, local regulators, and communities, building long‑term, positive relationships regarding SHE topics.

Ingredients for Success

A solid foundation in health and safety management and the ability to provide specialist advice to line managers, fostering a safe working environment and continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Experience

  • NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent (essential)
  • Degree level engineering or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous SHE experience in fast‑moving consumer goods or food manufacturing (preferred)
  • Detailed knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, experience leading internal audits and liaising with external regulatory bodies
  • Leadership and problem‑solving skills, passion for SHE and continuous improvement, and experience driving change through personal leadership
