The Part Time Social Media & Internal Marketing Manager is responsible for managing GCX’s external social media presence and supporting internal marketing communications and content management. The role ensures that external messaging, internal communications and shared marketing assets are aligned, current and easily accessible.
This role combines hands on social media execution, internal messaging coordination, and SharePoint ownership, making it ideal for a highly organised marketer who can operate independently while working closely with marketing, product and leadership team
Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Execution
• Develop and execute a practical social media plan aligned to marketing priorities and campaign calendars
• Create, schedule and publish content across priority platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, , YouTube, .com)
• Adapt long form content (blogs, announcements, whitepapers) into social ready formats
• Maintain a consistent brand voice, professional tone and visual identity across all channels
Internal Marketing & Messaging
• Support internal marketing communications, ensuring teams are informed of campaigns, launches, announcements and key messages
• Translate external campaigns and positioning into clear internal messaging for sales, account teams and stakeholders
• Maintain and update internal marketing materials, messaging frameworks and key narratives
• Coordinate internal announcements related to marketing activity, events, awards or thought leadership
• Act as a central point of contact for internal requests relating to marketing content and messaging
SharePoint Ownership & Content Management
• Own and manage the Marketing SharePoint site(s), ensuring content is structured, up to date and easy to navigate
• Upload, organise and maintain marketing assets including presentations, messaging documents, campaign materials and brand assets
• Ensure version control and clear naming conventions across all marketing documentation
• Archive outdated materials and regularly review content relevance
• Support wider teams by ensuring they can easily find and use approved marketing content
Community Management & Engagement
• Monitor social channels and respond to comments or messages in a timely, professional manner
• Escalate sensitive or high risk interactions in line with internal communications and social media policies
• Support coordinated posting and employee advocacy where appropriate
Performance Tracking & Optimisation
• Track performance against agreed KPIs (reach, engagement, follower growth, click throughs)
• Produce concise monthly summaries covering social performance and content effectiveness
• Use insights to continuously refine content, messaging and channel focus
Governance & Collaboration
• Ensure all social and internal communications comply with corporate social media, acceptable use and external communications policies
• Work closely with marketing, product, sales and leadership teams to align messaging
• Coordinate with design resources or external agencies where required
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing social media for a B2B brand or professional services organisation
- Experience supporting internal marketing communications or internal stakeholder messaging
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to simplify complex or technical topics
- Hands on experience managing content within SharePoint or similar content management platforms
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and content governance
- Ability to work independently in a part time role
