Manager / Senior Manager – Business Services
Clark Wood is working with a highly regarded and progressive independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Manager / Senior Manager to join their growing Business Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward‑thinking practice that continues to expand through strong organic growth. The firm acts for a diverse and high‑quality client base, including owner‑managed businesses and family‑run companies across Yorkshire and beyond.
The role offers a clear pathway for progression, with genuine opportunities to move into a Director‑level position and take on wider leadership responsibilities.
The Role
This is a key position within the firm, offering a blend of client advisory, team leadership, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, acting as the main point of contact
- Providing proactive business and financial advice, supporting clients with strategic decision‑making
- Reviewing year‑end accounts, management accounts, and associated tax compliance work
- Leading, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior staff
- Identifying opportunities to add value and cross‑sell additional services
- Supporting business development activities and contributing to the firm’s continued growth
- Assisting clients with forecasting, cashflow management, and business planning
Candidate Profile
- ACA / ACCA qualified
- Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice environment
- Proven experience operating at Manager or Senior Manager level
- Excellent technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102)
- Experience using cloud‑based accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or similar
- Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
