Quantity Surveyor (Minimum 3 years UK experience)

Up to £50K, Central London

Our client is a leading specialist construction and refurbishment contractor covering projects within the Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Residential sectors.

They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor who has experience working for a subcontractor and will report into a Commercial Director who will provide training, support, and day‑release qualification if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
• Undertake cost analysis for fit‑out and refurbishment projects
• Assist in establishing client requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Work in accordance with the HSQE Management System requirements
• Perform risk, value management and cost control
• Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks Allocate work to subcontractors
• Provide advice on contractual claims
• Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
• Value completed work and arrange payments
• Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Understand the implications of health and safety regulations and other compliance obligations

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years UK experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Experience working for a subcontractor (preferred)
