Job Description
Ares is looking for a versatile Talent Sourcer to join the Human Resources team in London. The London‑based Talent Acquisition team supports the hiring needs of Ares’s offices throughout EMEA and APAC. The Talent Sourcer will be responsible for sourcing active and passive talent, acting as a sourcing subject‑matter expert, presenting meaningful market updates, and building strong diverse talent pipelines. The role will lead strategic sourcing initiatives and provide outstanding client service to aligned client groups, promptly addressing all related requests and queries, streamlining and improving recruitment processes in a fast‑paced, rapidly growing environment.
The Talent Sourcer will work across multiple strategies and groups at Ares, acting as a strategic partner with the business. This role supports pipelining for crucial roles at all seniorities across Investment Groups (Credit, Real Estate, Private Equity, Infrastructure, Secondaries), Fundraising & Wealth Management Solutions, and Corporate Functions. It is an exciting part of the EMEA Talent Acquisition team with high insight into strategy and new initiatives.
Primary Functions And Essential Responsibilities
- Lead talent sourcing activities including research, market intelligence, mapping, direct outreach, networking, and screening.
- Build a candidate pipeline via proactive and direct sourcing platforms, such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Workday ATS for active and future needs.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and the business to understand talent needs and deliver sourcing strategies and solutions.
- Manage the communication flow with a candidate pipeline.
- Provide a high‑touch experience to all candidates from application stage to offer.
- Participate and attend industry conferences and events.
- Identify opportunities to improve the overall recruiting and hiring experience for both managers and candidates.
- Manage special projects and initiatives on an as‑needed basis in partnership with HR COE.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Ares by articulating in a compelling and accurate fashion why Ares is a great place to work, staying up to date with press releases, awards, new initiatives, events, philanthropy, announced deals, etc.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years of recruiting and sourcing experience, preferably within financial services and with corporate, retained, and contingent recruitment search experience.
- Knowledge of Boolean searches and creative talent sourcing methods.
- Experience with Workday and/or ATS platform(s) is preferred.
- Ability to directly source a pipeline of top diverse talent across all levels.
- Sourcing experience within Financial Services, preferably with experience recruiting across Investments / Non‑Investments within Alternatives (Private Equity, Credit, Real Estate, Infra, Secondaries), but also open to candidates with experience covering Investment Banking or other relevant buy‑side areas.

- Exhibit high attention to detail when managing status of existing candidates and open roles.
- Ability to be flexible in terms of hours to coordinate with team members across various time zones.
- Curiosity about building strong internal and external relationships to foster a solid reputation and network.
