CARIGIET COWEN – ACCOUNTS MANAGER
WHO WE ARE:
Carigiet Cowen is a well-established firm of commercial property surveyors and consultants based in Carlisle. The company provides commercial property advice to national, regional and local clients principally in Cumbria, North Lancashire, South West Scotland, and the North East of England, and is also retained to act on behalf of certain clients on a national basis.
THE ROLE:
We are looking for an Accounts Manager to support the Directors in the day to day running of this busy chartered surveying practice. The role will involve managing the company’s own accounts, the accounts of clients as well as assisting the Directors in the delivery of effective and efficient office operations. The position could be full time or part time but we would envisage a minimum of 3 days a week.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
· Competent book keeping skills to deal with company and client management accounts
· Comprehensive knowledge of Sage accounts software and use of Excel spreadsheets
· Good Understanding of VAT, to be able to manage VAT returns
· Ability to work methodically and with accuracy
· Management of company and client bank accounts
· Administration and management of company fee invoices
· Registration, processing and payment of supplier invoices
· Liaison with external company accountant regarding year end company accounts
· Assisting company Directors with budgetary advice/ analysis and provision of regular update reports
· Rent, service charge and insurance premium collection for management clients; issuing of regular demands and credit control
· Assisting the Management Surveyor in the completion of service charge reconciliations
· Provision of regular accounts statements to management clients, and an ability to meet key dates in this regard
· Recording of information and undertaking of duties in line with prevailing RICS regulations
· Work closely with Directors and other members of staff in the pursuit and delivery of effective and efficient office operations
