A nationally recognised commercial law firm is seeking an experienced Health & Care Regulatory Associate or Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join its specialist Health & Care Regulatory team in Bristol. This is an opportunity to work within a large, well established practice supporting clients across the health, social care, education and housing sectors, offering a stimulating blend of advisory and contentious work.
The Role
You will join a team of over 60 specialists, managing a varied and intellectually engaging caseload. Responsibilities include:
- Managing a broad mix of advisory and litigation matters
- Representing clients at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals
- Advising on regulatory, health, social care and education issues
- Supporting clients in the lead up to and during inquest proceedings, including conducting your own advocacy
- Supervising junior colleagues and contributing to team development
- Building strong client relationships and supporting business development initiatives
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 5+ years PQE in health and social care law
- Strong experience advising on inquests and conducting advocacy
- Confidence working with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Excellent technical ability, organisation and attention to detail
- A proactive, commercial and solutions focused mindset
- Enthusiasm for developing skills and taking on new challenges
- Experience contributing to business development
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build long term working relationships
