Overview

Geography Teacher position in York, North Yorkshire. Start date: April 2026. Contract: Full Time. Salary: MPS/UPS. GSL Education is seeking a passionate and committed Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in York from April 2026. This is a full-time role, delivering Geography across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, offering the opportunity to inspire and engage students in the study of our world.

  • Deliver Geography across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Provide engaging lessons that promote active learning and student involvement.
  • Collaborate with a teaching team to support high-quality teaching and effective lesson planning.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through high standards of classroom management and inclusive teaching practices.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Geography at KS3 and GCSE.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for bringing Geography to life in the classroom.
  • Experience supporting students with varying abilities, including SEN and additional learning needs.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
