The role is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, maintaining food quality standards and ensuring efficient, safe and cost effective food preparation.

*Key Responsibilities:*

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation. Oversee daily kitchen activities in the absence of the head chef. Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and portion control. Monitor food stock, order supplies and manage inventory levels. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation.

Supervise, train and mentor kitchen staff. Assign tasks and ensure smooth workflow during service. Foster a positive and professional work environment.

Assist in menu planning and recipe development. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established standards. Monitor food quality during preparation and service. Adapt to Customer dietary requirements and special requests.

Enforce food safety and sanitation regulations Ensure compliance with local health department guidelines. Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures.

*Qualifications:*

Proven experience in a supervisory kitchen role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
