Health and Safety CDM Principal Designer required to join a chartered architectural practice delivering a diverse range of projects throughout the North West, including commercial mixed-use and leisure developments.
Duties
- Working closely with the project team to deliver Principal Designer services ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.
- Making clients aware of their duties.
- Liaising with Designers to compile a Design Risk Management schedule.
- Managing the pre-construction phase, including preparing and collating information.
- Liaising with stakeholders on projects and keeping them updated in relation to Health, Safety and CDM matters.
- Carrying out site inspections and compliance audits.
- Preparing, reviewing and maintaining Health and Safety files.
- Developing client relationships and building new ones.
- Supporting and contributing to bid submissions and fee proposals.
- Identifying regional business development opportunities and assisting with the growth of Client base.
Experience
- Previous experience acting as Principal Designer and CDM Advisor.
- Demonstrable understanding of design and construction drawings, with experience of undertaking Design Risk Reviews.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or similar technical or professional qualification.
- You will ideally hold or be working towards CMaPS and possibly CMIOSH Accreditation.
The Health and Safety CDM Principal Designer role has a salary of up to £55,000.
