SEN Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets
Start Date: After Easter Holidays
Duration: Ongoing role through to September (with potential to extend)
Daily Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience)
We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary school in Tower Hamlets seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter holidays.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom.
The Role:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Assisting with learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Supporting a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Helping to manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Requirements (ESSENTIAL):
- Previous experience working with SEN or in a childcare/school setting
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Confident, proactive, and patient approach
- Good level of spoken and written English
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working in a school (primary or secondary)
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Psychology graduates or aspiring teachers/educational psychologists welcome
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
