SEND Teaching Assistants – Full Time, Long Term Roles – Plymouth
We are currently working with a number of schools in Plymouth who are looking to appoint dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term positions.
As a specialist education recruitment agency, we are supporting schools that require consistent and reliable support staff to work with students who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students and making a real difference to their educational journey.
The Role
- Supporting students with a range of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH
- Working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Encouraging student engagement, confidence and independence
- Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or transferable experience)
- A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A genuine passion for xwzovoh supporting learners with additional needs
