Senior Crew Resource Manager

Salary information location dependent. Manchester based up to £84,500 per annum / London based up to £94,000 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Resource Planning and Delivery teams to ensure efficient, accurate and compliant outputs, fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Deliver robust crew resource plans aligned to business needs, from long‑range planning through to operational delivery. Oversee crew roster production, ensuring on‑time delivery, accuracy and compliance with collective agreements and CAA regulations.
  • Define and maintain optimised trip‑pairing solutions for current and future seasons that maximise productivity and minimise fatigue risk.
  • Own governance, reporting and analytics for crew resourcing, driving continuous improvement and data‑led decision‑making.
  • Develop and manage crew training plans, ensuring training is correctly rostered and delivered on time and compliant with regulations.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to senior Air Operations leaders, providing expert insight and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships including representing the crew planning function within the group.
  • Develop deep expertise in the AIMS crew planning system and lead its ongoing development and utilisation to deliver business goals.
  • Lead resource scenario modelling and project work to support future strategic, network and resourcing decisions.
  • Lead on crew planning process optimisation and transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with Trade Union partners to deliver resource efficiencies and support transparent, constructive engagement.
  • Contribute to ad‑hoc responsibilities and project tasks as required to assist wider team(s).

  • Analytical and problem‑solving expertise.

  • Regulatory expertise.
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in resource planning.
  • Experience of budgeting and cost management.
  • Crew agreement and CAA regulation expertise.
  • Strong planning, numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Leadership experience in successfully managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
