Manchester / Warrington (Birchwood) – Hybrid (4 days in office)

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to join a collaborative and fast‑paced compliance team. This is a high‑impact role with clear progression into a leadership position.

You will initially join as a senior member of the team, working closely with the Head of Compliance, with the opportunity to step into a management role in the near future.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands‑on role in a high‑volume environment and is looking to develop their leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end contractor compliance processes
  • Ensure all contractors meet regulatory and client‑specific requirements
  • Review and maintain compliance documentation, contracts, and templates
  • Act as a key point of contact for contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with recruitment, finance, and HR teams to support onboarding and contractor lifecycle processes
  • Support ongoing improvements to compliance systems and processes
  • Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior team members
  • Assist in organising team workflows and prioritisation
  • Contribute to the development and scalability of the compliance function

About You

  • Proven experience in compliance within a recruitment environment essential
  • Strong understanding of contractor onboarding and high‑volume compliance processes
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. NHS, education, or similar)
  • Previous experience supporting or mentoring team members
  • Exposure to contract recruitment environments
  • Clear pathway into a leadership role
