A highly regarded, investment management firm is seeking anInvestment Operations Managerto join the operational function and support the continued growth of the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting directly into senior management, with responsibility for overseeing trading support, post-trade processes, reporting, fees, tax and regulatory operational delivery. You’ll also manage and develop a junior team member, ensuring robust controls and high-quality outputs across all operational activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day investment operations across discretionary and advisory client mandates
- Line management and development of a Trade Analyst
- Maintain oversight of trading workflows, post-trade processing and reconciliations
- Manage corporate actions, events reporting and exception investigation
- Ownership of CGT and broader investment tax reporting, including complex client queries
- Oversight of fee processes including quarterly fee calculations and costs & charges disclosures
- Ensure accurate MiFID transaction reporting and adherence to operational regulatory requirements
- Drive process improvement, automation and operational risk reduction
- Support system configuration and data integrity across multiple platforms
- Partner closely with Investment, Client Services and Compliance teams to improve workflows
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum5+ years’ experiencein investment operations within asset management, wealth management or a fintech environment
- Strong understanding oftrading operations, post-trade workflows and reconciliations
- Experience withfees, costs & charges, and investment reporting processes
- Knowledge ofMiFID transaction reportingand operational regulatory requirements
- Exposure toCGT / tax reportinghighly desirable
- Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
- Strong attention to detail, control mindset and investigative/problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment
- Strong Excel skills; SQL knowledge beneficial but not essential
