Job Title: Auction Credit Manager (12 month Fixed-Term-Contract)
Location: Blackbushe, Hybrid (office visits twice a week)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8:30am-5:pm)

Main Purpose of The Role:
Lead and support the team to drive effective cash collections through proactive customer engagement. Deliver outstanding customer service, resolve queries promptly, minimise payment delays, and ensure vehicles are released quickly after payment. You’ll work closely with Buyer Development, Auction Branches, Customer Services, and Finance to enhance the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management and Development
- Oversee the team ensuring that daily tasks are carried out to agreed SLA’s
- Support the team in resolving any queries of issues to ensure tasks are completed
- Support the development of the team, either through general training, process review and improvement and by setting objectives that are aligned with the FSS overall objectives
- Manage any employee issues or underperformance providing opportunities to improve and support with additional training if required
- Work with the Head of Credit on any areas of escalation
Debt Chasing
- Be the point of escalation to support with difficult issues
- Building relationships with customers to ensure payments are made without delays
- Visit key customers where necessary to understand their business and support requirements
- Escalate to the Head of Credit & AR if required
Legal Action
- Review accounts prior to referral for legal action
- Ensure that all possible pre-action steps have been taken
- Process Improvement
- Drive continual improvement of processes, engaging with the team to identify issues, develop solutions and seek approval to make changes
- Ensure that all changes allow us to deliver the best customer experience possible
System / Self Development
- Support the development of our systems to deliver the best support possible for our internal and external customers
- Where necessary attend training courses to drive self-development and provide feedback on potential improvement areas
- Projects
- Support the Head of Credit & AR, and other FSS team areas with any projects as and when required ensuring delivery of these in agreed timeframes
- Supporting other areas of Finance Shared Services as and when needed
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 6yrs Credit Control experience (desirable)
- Minimum of 3yrs team leadership / supervisory experience (desirable)
- Excellent communicator both written and oral
- The ability to manage conflicts professionally and objectively with our passionate customer base
- Excellent attention to detail
- Working to strict daily deadlines given our fast-paced environment
- Organised with good time management
- Fully literate on MS Office mainly Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams etc.
