Key Responsibilities

• Inspirational Delivery: Lead engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, making complex texts accessible and fun for all learners.
• Vocabulary and Oracy: Focus on extending language and increasing vocabulary, using visual materials and sentence stems to support student progress.
• Adaptive Teaching: Identify students who may be falling behind and provide the extra support needed to build their confidence and academic success.
• Safe Learning Environment: Maintain a non-judgmental, encouraging classroom where students feel secure to make mistakes and learn at their own pace.
• Collaborative Practice: Work as a strong team player, sharing best practices and contributing to the schools overall Working Together ethos.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Subject Specialist: A deep passion for English Language and Literature with the ability to lead a room with presence and authority.
• Communication: Excellent written and spoken English, acting as a role model for oracy and language use.
• Compliance: An Enhanced DBS check is required (Randstad can assist with your application).
• Qualities: An honest, approachable educator who prioritizes child safety and follows all safeguarding and reporting protocols.
