Riverside Centre: We are expanding our dedicated Domestic Services team across Greater Manchester and are seeking a caring, compassionate, and hardworking individual to join us.

Location: Prestwich Hospital

Position: X 1 Domestic Assistant

Purpose of the Role: To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the hospital & office areas, ensuring compliance with infection control standards and supporting the well‑being of patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties in patient areas, staff rooms, offices, and communal spaces in line with hospital standards.
  • Regularly clean and disinfect surfaces, floors, and sanitary facilities.
  • Safely handle waste disposal in accordance with infection control and clinical waste protocols.
  • Replenish essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies when working in patient areas.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, including correct use of PPE and COSHH guidelines.
  • Experience not essential as full training will be given.
  • Important Information: This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria under temporary exemptions introduced on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions apply to workers who have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously since before 04/04/2024.
