Job Overview
Turning Point Scotland’s Dundee service provides support to individuals with a variety of needs, including learning disability, physical disability, autism, mental health illness and community justice. The role offers supported living services, housing support and day opportunities designed to promote independence and choice, enable access to education, employment and social activities, and facilitate relationships and home maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized 1:1 support to adults with a wide range of needs, delivering practical and emotional assistance.
- Encourage clients to achieve personal outcomes in safety, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
- Work as part of a team, either alone or alongside others, and partner with service users, families, health teams, social work teams and advocacy services.
- Support with day-to-day living tasks and promote independence through education, employment and social participation opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- No previous working experience required; full training will be provided.
- Demonstrated values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity are essential.
- Must possess IT skills required for all our vacancies.
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship not available.
- Where applicable, should register with the SSSC within 6 months of the start date.
