Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst – Newcastle Upon Tyne

Our client is a leading asbestos consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering a specialist range of asbestos management service to a diverse portfolio of clients. They are currently seeking a multi-skilled and hardworking Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst based in and around the Newcastle Upon Tyne area. The ideal applicant will hold the P402/3/4 certificates and will be experienced in carrying out surveying and air monitoring duties on a range of site types. Applications from Sunderland, South Shields, Morpeth, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Will possess the P402, P403 and P404 asbestos certificates or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
• Have significant experience working within an asbestos surveying and air‑testing/air‑monitoring within the asbestos industry.
• Experience with managing own workload and providing a consultancy service to clients would be advantageous.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.
• We are also interested in anyone with p401/p402/p403/p404/s301 CCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out asbestos 4‑stage clearances, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re‑occupation and personal air testing on various properties.
• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various sites – commercial and industrial.
• Overseeing asbestos contractors on site and ensuring that they comply with the Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.
• Collating and producing asbestos reports as and when required.
• Establishing and maintaining a good working rapport with the company’s portfolio of clients.
