Overview
The programme will start in the classroom where you will gain skills and knowledge about working as a health professional. You will learn about the variety of careers within Nursing, Midwifery, Healthcare Science and Allied Professional roles, before heading off to your allocated department for the last 3 days. You will be assigned a supervisor to support and encourage you whilst on your placement. On the last day of the placement, we will bring you back to the classroom for a debrief session. The programme will give you a chance to see a typical day on the job in a hospital environment, gain insight into a variety of healthcare roles, and participate in a safe & secure placement where you will be treated fairly and with respect. It will also help you develop key skills that can be applied in all care related jobs, such as communication, taking initiative, and showing compassion.
Programme duration
The Programme will run for 5 days – 15th–19th June 2026 (please note you must be available to attend all 5 days). If you are accepted onto the programme your confirmed offer will be subject to the required pre-placement checks including a face-to-face ID check appointment.
