The Role
As our Health and Safety Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation’s health and safety framework, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations and industry best practices. A critical part of this role involves overseeing asbestos management processes, risk assessments, and control procedures across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and review HSE policies and procedures.
- Lead on asbestos management planning, audits, and control measures.
- Ensure compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other relevant legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety inspections.
- Deliver health and safety training across teams and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage internal/external audits.
- Provide expert advice to operational teams and senior management.
What We’re Looking For
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven experience in a senior HSE role.
- In-depth knowledge of UK H&S legislation, especially asbestos-related compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence (travel to multiple sites will be required).
