Role Outline
As an Occupational Health Physician you will deliver high‑quality occupational health services in a flexible hybrid model, combining face‑to‑face site visits with home‑based case management to provide a comprehensive and responsive service.
Responsibilities
- Undertake case management for a range of health issues, including fitness for work, workplace adjustments, and return‑to‑work planning
- Deliver face‑to‑face consultations at client sites as required, ensuring a personalised and professional approach when on site
- Conduct home‑based telephone or video consultations, providing clear support to referring managers and patients
- Prepare clear, concise, and professional reports for employers outlining medical opinions and recommendations
- Liaise with employers, HR teams, and other healthcare professionals to support employee well‑being and organisational health goals
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, clinical guidelines, and best practices in occupational health
Qualifications
- Fully GMC‑registered professional with licence to practise and a qualification in Occupational Medicine (minimum DOccMed)
- Proven case management experience in occupational health, including fitness‑for‑work assessments
- Strong clinical experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders
- Proactive, flexible approach with strong organisational and time‑management abilities
- Familiarity with workplace health legislation and guidelines (e.g., Equality Act, Health and Safety at Work Act)
- IT literacy and the ability to prepare detailed and professional reports
Hours
Part‑time vacancy – 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week.
Location
Required to visit client sites in Bristol twice a week; remaining days are home‑based.
