About the Opportunity
Amentum is the Nuclear Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield Ltd under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). PPP is an exciting model to work in with four world‑class organisations who have come together as one team to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.
The programme arrangement is set to deliver ~£7bn worth of major projects, creating a lasting legacy through a twenty‑year partnership.
Being part of the PPP Team offers a unique opportunity to cultivate change and creativity in engineering, safety and delivery solutions on one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK, if not the world. It is based in two brilliant locations in the North of England. We are seeking a Supply Chain Lead, to join our team in Warrington or Whitehaven.
The Role
You will report to the Head of PPP Procurement within a matrix organisation and manage a small team. Your work will involve collaborating across a range of capabilities such as Engineering, Quality, Health and Safety, Procurement, and Supply Chain, with frequent travel between PPP office locations and visits to suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Acquisition Strategy Documents in consultation with PPP and client stakeholders.
- Update agreed timelines for procurement and be responsible for the end‑to‑end procurement process and on‑time delivery of procurements.
- Oversee a portfolio of strategic suppliers and ensure that PPP leverages forecasted benefits by supporting projects and PPP Services, monitoring supplier performance across multiple live projects, and carrying out Supplier Relationship Management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes that support business goals and objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of procurement principles, methods and practices related to procurement and supply chain management within a construction or infrastructure delivery environment.
- Technical knowledge of procurement procedure creation and implementation.
- Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, preferably NEC3, NEC4 and experience of working with bespoke forms of contract.
- Understanding of commercial principles and the management/administration of frameworks and contracts, and the principles of Supplier Relationship Management.
- Relevant professional accreditation (MCIPS or equivalent).
