Key Account Manager – KBB Sector / National Merchants

  • CPJ are working with a highly respected and well-established KBB manufacturer who are strengthening their National Merchants channel and are now looking to appoint a Key Account Manager to take ownership of a high-profile portfolio of strategic National Merchants across the UK.
  • This is a senior Key Account Manager role within the KBB sector, responsible for managing, multi-site National Merchants relationships and driving sustainable, profitable growth across key product categories.
  • The role will act as the lead Key Account Manager for these accounts, owning the full commercial relationship from head office agreements through to regional and branch level execution.
  • In this Key Account Manager position, the focus will be on long-term strategic partnership development with National Merchants rather than transactional selling.
  • The Key Account Manager will be responsible for joint business planning with senior stakeholders across National Merchants including procurement, category and commercial teams, ensuring full alignment and execution across regional and branch networks.
  • A key part of this role will be identifying opportunities to increase share of wallet, strengthen product visibility, and deliver incremental growth across the KBB channel.
  • This is a highly visible Key Account Manager position with genuine autonomy and direct impact on National Merchants performance.

With continued investment into national account development, product innovation and customer partnerships, the business is in a strong growth phase within the National Merchants channel and is now looking to strengthen its senior Key Account Manager team. Key Account Manager Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or National Account Manager within KBB, Plumbing & Heating or construction distribution
  • Strong track record managing large National Merchants or multi-branch customer groups
  • Confident operating at senior stakeholder level across procurement, category and commercial teams
  • Ability to influence and drive execution across head office, regional and branch levels within National Merchants
  • Strong commercial mindset with a focus on growth, margin and strategic account development
  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation and joint business planning skills

Key Account Manager Package

  • Up to £68,000 basic salary
  • 20% bonus
