Land & Partnerships Director

Salary: Negotiable DOE + Package
Pro Staff Construction are working with a residential contractor to recruit a Land & Partnerships Director to drive their land strategy and pipeline across South Wales.
This is a senior leadership role, responsible for securing and delivering a strong pipeline of social and affordable housing schemes, working closely with housing associations, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
The Role
You will take ownership of the full front-end development lifecycle, from land identification through to planning, partnerships, and deal completion.
- Developing and delivering a 3+ year land pipeline
- Securing land opportunities via agents, landowners, and local authorities
- Structuring and negotiating land deals (options, conditional contracts, acquisitions)
- Building and managing key partnerships with housing associations and public-sector clients
- Overseeing the planning process from pre-app through to consent
- Providing pipeline reporting and strategic insight to senior leadership
- Leading and developing a team across land, planning, and partnerships
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience in land or development within social / affordable housing
- Strong knowledge of planning systems in Wales
- Track record of building and converting land pipelines into deliverable schemes
- Commercially astute with strong understanding of viability, funding, and risk
- Comfortable operating at board and client director level
- Experience managing teams and driving performance
