Bank Healthcare Assistant – Temporary Position – Ty Gwyn Hall, Abergavenny, Wales

We are looking for a temporary Bank Healthcare Assistant to work at Ty Gwyn Hall, a rehabilitation and treatment service for individuals with mental health conditions. The role is part of a supportive team that provides care to people on their recovery pathway.

Responsibilities

• Attend ward rounds and observe and analyse patients’ behaviours.
• Adapt care plans in collaboration with colleagues based on patient needs.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with personal hygiene and overall care and support.
• Provide compassionate, resilient and vigilant care in a challenging environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• No specific qualifications are required; previous experience in a healthcare or mental health setting is an advantage.
• Positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are essential.
• Must pass a DBS check.
• Understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of service users.
