Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Director – Crisis Management & Scenario Testing to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract.

Hybrid- London based

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global crisis management strategy, governance, escalation processes and response framework
  • Design and deliver the global scenario testing programme (tabletops, drills, supplier exercises)
  • Facilitate real‑time response to major disruption events, chairing crisis calls and coordinating cross‑functional teams
  • Oversee client and regulatory communications during incidents
  • Maintain crisis playbooks, decision logs, and audit‑ready documentation
  • Partner with Technology, Risk, Operations and senior leaders to strengthen organisational readiness
  • Deliver training, awareness and ongoing improvements to crisis response capability
  • Produce executive‑level reporting on crisis trends, lessons learned and remediation

Experience

  • 10+ years leading enterprise‑wide crisis management in a global organisation
  • Proven experience managing major incidents across multiple regions and time zones
  • Strong understanding of operational resilience regulations (FCA, DORA, NIST, etc.)
  • Experience designing and running crisis scenarios and testing programmes
  • Excellent communication skills, able to brief executives, boards and regulators
  • Financial services background required; insurance experience preferred
  • Certifications such as CBCP, MBCI or DRI are an advantage
