Chief Digital and Information Officer

Role Summary

Applications are invited for this key leadership role as a non‑voting Board Member of The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHSFT. The role is based at the Hospital in Oswestry, Shropshire and requires approximately three days on site each week.

The successful applicant will join the Trust during an exciting time to help realize its vision of leading in digital health services.

Responsibilities

• Hold strategy oversight of the Digital and Data Strategy.
• Champion digital innovation and improve the use of data and technology to enhance patient care, clinical options and operational efficiency.
• Lead the evolution of clinical and business information processes, ensuring high‑quality provision and support for business‑critical systems.
• Adopt a structured approach to prioritise and deliver digital activities aligned to the Trust’s overall strategic direction.
• Ensure effective IT / programme management and deliver information governance in line with statutory and regulatory guidance.
