Manager, Private Equity Portfolio Tax, London

The PE portfolio tax team works within the same group as the M&A and funds tax teams, delivering a comprehensive and joined‑up tax service to PE funds and their portfolio companies. It advises on tax opportunities and risks throughout the investment lifecycle, fosters close relationships with management, and supports clients toward exit.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain tax relationships with contacts at private‑equity–backed clients.
• Provide high‑quality tax deliverables in a timely manner to deliver the highest level of service.
• Consider the use of AI and incorporate it into tax services.
• Act as part of the portfolio companies’ tax team, contributing to the team’s growth.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Build networks and personal relationships internally and externally.
• Participate in the origination of tax opportunities for new and existing clients.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• ACA/CA/CTA qualification.
• Strong UK tax technical skills.
• Experience in coaching and developing junior staff.
• Experience advising private‑equity–backed clients.
