The children, staff and governing board at Didsbury Road Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspirational Deputy Headteacher.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and play a key role in shaping the vision and direction of the school.
  • Lead on teaching, learning and assessment to ensure the highest standards across the school.
  • Champion inclusive practice and provision for pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
  • Contribute to safeguarding, behaviour and the personal development of pupils.
  • Support and develop colleagues through high quality CPD.
  • Be a visible and positive presence for pupils, colleagues, parents and carers.

Qualifications

  • Is child centred and committed to excellent outcomes for all children, including pupils with SEND.
  • Has a successful track record of raising achievement across the primary curriculum.
  • Is experienced in managing safeguarding at a leadership level.
  • Has high emotional intelligence and can inspire and support colleagues.
  • Has excellent knowledge of inclusive practice and experience of supporting children with varying needs.
  • Is resilient, solution focused and able to meet the challenges of school leadership.
  • Will play a key role in leading our school vision and values.
  • Builds strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, families and the wider school community.

Job Information

Full time permanent contract. Start date: As soon as possible after Monday 4th May 2026. Salary range: L13 to L17. Teaching commitment: No whole class teaching responsibility. However, PPA and supply cover may be required when necessary.
