The children, staff and governing board at Didsbury Road Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspirational Deputy Headteacher.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and play a key role in shaping the vision and direction of the school.
- Lead on teaching, learning and assessment to ensure the highest standards across the school.
- Champion inclusive practice and provision for pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
- Contribute to safeguarding, behaviour and the personal development of pupils.
- Support and develop colleagues through high quality CPD.
- Be a visible and positive presence for pupils, colleagues, parents and carers.
Qualifications
- Is child centred and committed to excellent outcomes for all children, including pupils with SEND.
- Has a successful track record of raising achievement across the primary curriculum.
- Is experienced in managing safeguarding at a leadership level.
- Has high emotional intelligence and can inspire and support colleagues.
- Has excellent knowledge of inclusive practice and experience of supporting children with varying needs.
- Is resilient, solution focused and able to meet the challenges of school leadership.

Job Information
Full time permanent contract. Start date: As soon as possible after Monday 4th May 2026. Salary range: L13 to L17. Teaching commitment: No whole class teaching responsibility. However, PPA and supply cover may be required when necessary.
