Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded Principal Business Performance Analyst to join the highly commercial King Central Analytics team. Working with stakeholders from across King, you will provide critical insights into the state and trend of our business that enable better decision making and drive impact.
Your work will be crucial to help push the boundaries of how we understand our players and games. As a senior part of the Central Analytics team, you will set the standard for outstanding, holistic business insights. Your reporting will seamlessly combine King’s own data with player insights and market intelligence, pushing our understanding of game performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the reporting to King’s Leadership Team across S&OP, Quarterly Reviews and OKRs to understand key performance trends and identify opportunities for growth.
- Establish and implement clear, actionable KPIs that efficiently capture the essence of complex business problems. Collaborate with the business performance, tools & reporting (BPTnR) team to set up dashboards.
- Conduct insightful quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify underlying business drivers across our portfolio, often exploring secondary KPIs to uncover less obvious but crucial insights.
- Collaborate and foster relationships with stakeholders across the business, including game teams, analytics, marketing and strategy.
- Provide thought leadership in identifying opportunities for growth, operational improvements, and performance optimizations across King’s game portfolio.
- Clearly communicate findings, actionable recommendations, and strategic implications to stakeholders, including senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts and data scientists, elevating their problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking capabilities.
- Communicate results in a clear and concise manner, with an understanding of data visualisation and the importance of drawing accurate conclusions from multiple data sources.
Qualifications
- Highly analytical and commercial problem solver with a strong analytical mindset; able to break down ambiguous business questions into structured hypotheses and measurable steps.
- Strategic thinking demonstrated by connecting analytical insights to business outcomes, including monetization dynamics and player behaviour.
- Influential communication skills: synthesize and present findings clearly to executive‑level stakeholders.
- Collaboration and mentorship: proactively guide cross‑functional teams and junior analysts to elevate analytical standards.
- Solid experience in data analytics environments, comfortable navigating SQL databases.
- Familiarity with experimentation methods (A/B testing, causal inference).
- Experience with analytical tools such as Excel, Python, and R.
- Bonus: experience within mobile gaming, digital advertising, or similar dynamic digital environments.
- Bonus: experience with centralized analytics platforms such as BigQuery and Looker.
