CREATIVE PATTERN CUTTER – HAUTE COUTURE WEST LONDON£30 / HOUR – 6 MONTHS FTC

A new exciting opportunity is now available for experienced Haute Couture / Creative Pattern Cutters. We are currently headhunting for a number of experienced Creative Pattern Cutters to join an expanding Haute Couture atelier.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Lead Pattern Cutter and Designer, creating bespoke pieces and delivering exceptional craftsmanship to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Creative Pattern Cutter who is a specialist in Haute couture with at least seven years’ atelier experience who is passionate about pattern cutting, draping, corsetry, and the artistry of couture design. A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to interpret creative vision into flawless patterns is essential, as is the drive to work collaboratively in a dynamic, expanding team environment.

The Creative Pattern Cutter will be responsible for creating and cutting patterns for bespoke design, collaborating with the designer, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. Our client is an ever-expanding team and encourage all our team members to progress, work on new projects and build on their skills.

Reporting to the Lead Pattern Cutter To follow working notes and drawings / instructions relating to the manual creation of patterns. Pad a stand to base on clients’ measurement and create patterns following design illustration. Working closely with the Couture Collection Development Director to manage projects and deadlines. To be able to use own initiative, manage and organise their own workload to ensure each assigned project or task is completed within the agreed timescales. During project handover raise any questions and concerns to the Head of Atelier ensuring maximum productivity.

Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a creative pattern cutter. Be involved in fittings when necessary to help fit the garments you are responsible for Flexible, hardworking and organised with a positive and constructive attitude. Your normal working week will be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break. You will be asked to work additional hours paid at the agreed rate of contract.
