Wood is currently recruiting for an Offshore Materials Coordinator to be based in Sale on a permanent basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement materials management processes in line with project procedures, strategies and HSSE plans
- Coordinate with user departments to confirm material and services requirements, resolve queries and provide materials status reports as required
- Ensure all materials databases and project reporting tools are updated with the latest purchasing, receipt delivery and shipping information
- Act as a liaison between the buyers and line focal points to prioritize/schedule the PR/POs according to status list of outstanding orders in the clients Warehouse Management System (WMS) against required on-site dates
- Monitor the flow of materials from requisition to installation to ensure all materials management activities are completed for scheduled shipment of materials to relevant sites
- Analyse material progress reports, highlighting any discrepancies (shortage, damaged, etc) to relevant parties and develop early mitigation plans for late deliveries of critical and long lead items
- Expedite critical items and intervene according to instructions of the focal point and technical buyers and coordinate with logistics department on receipt and release for shipping
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the purchasing, expediting, handling, storing and preservation of materials and equipment
- Experienced in the control and management of materials from receipt at warehouse through to distribution to required site location
- Good working knowledge of material systems, process controls, warehousing and logistics
- Proficient in the use of standard desk top software, data compilation and manipulation and competent in maintaining and updating project reports accordingly
- Good knowledge of legislative requirements for onshore and offshore materials management
- Proven ability to work to demanding project schedules
- Good interpersonal, coordination and communication skills
- Exhibit good data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge on computerized support systems (SAP)
- Ability to work well under pressure and deliver quality results on time
- Oil and Gas experience advantageous but not essential
