We have an exciting opportunity within our UK Channels Commercial Team for a highly motivated, results-driven individual with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. As a Customer Account Manager , you will work closely with a Senior Account Manager and take full ownership of the P&L for key UK retail and wholesale customers. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop commercial competencies, and contribute to the success of a dynamic sales team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing relationships with major UK customers, driving volume, net sales value, gross profit, and trade investment. A key part of the role involves negotiating joint business plans and aligning customer strategies with company objectives to deliver sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, leveraging internal resources to support business objectives.
- Negotiate trading agreements that align with financial targets and strategic goals.
- Develop and present customer business plans, including new product development, promotional strategies, and pricing.
- Ensure timely communication and execution of internal and external requirements.
- Collaborate with category and commercial teams to implement strategies that meet performance targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the channel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- Prior experience in account management or a similar commercial role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in sales forecasting and profit modelling.
- Familiarity with category, shopper, and consumer data sources.
- Experience in category management or marketing is a plus.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness and entrepreneurial thinking.
