A leading European mid-market investor is seeking an Investment Associate to join its growing private equity team. The firm partners with management teams to support ambitious expansion strategies and has a strong track record of investing across Europe.
The Role
As an Investment Associate, you will play a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting the management of the existing portfolio. You will be involved in all stages of the investment process – from origination and due diligence through to execution and portfolio management – working closely with senior team members and portfolio company leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and evaluate potential investment opportunities across Europe.
- Build detailed financial models and conduct sector and market research.
- Support due diligence processes and preparation of investment materials.
- Assist in monitoring and managing portfolio company performance, including operational initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with management teams, advisers, and other stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- 2–3 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a related field.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with experience in DCF and project financing techniques.
- Exposure to transactional due diligence and preparation of investment papers.
- Excellent academic track record.
- Fluency in English is required; an additional European language is highly desirable.
