Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview

Seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with 9-10 years of experience to build and configure GCP services for customer monitoring platforms. Must have expertise in GCP, Terraform, automation, monitoring, and FinOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy GCP infrastructure for customer monitoring solutions
• Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning and automation
• Implement monitoring solutions using Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Automate infrastructure operations using Python, Bash, CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct FinOps activities: cost optimization, committed use discounts, budgeting
• Configure GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions
• Implement security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance standards
• Build cost monitoring dashboards and implement labeling strategies
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and optimize performance

Required Skills

Experience:

• 9-10 years in cloud/infrastructure engineering
• 5+ years GCP experience (mandatory)
• 3+ years Terraform experience (mandatory)

• GCP: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Monitoring
• Terraform: Modules, state management, IaC automation
• Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• CI/CD: Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
• Monitoring: Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), Helm
• FinOps: GCP Cost Management, cost optimization, labeling strategies
• Automation: Ansible/Chef/Puppet, infrastructure automation
• Networking: VPC, firewall rules, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, Cloud DNS

Preferred:

• GCP Certifications (Professional Cloud Architect/Cloud DevOps Engineer)
• AWS/Azure multi-cloud experience
• HashiCorp Terraform Certification
