Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer
Chroma is supporting a specialist risk‑management consultancy on a key technical hire.
We’re working with an established consultancy that operates in high‑hazard, safety‑critical industries helping clients manage complex operational, environmental, and business risks. As part of their ongoing growth, they’re looking to bring in a full stack developer who can take ownership of their internal and external software capability.
This is a varied role where you’ll lead product development, modernise internal tools, and help shape the future of their software offerings.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as the lead developer for new and existing software products
- Designing and delivering full‑stack solutions that enhance client services
- Developing internal risk‑modelling tools, automation scripts, and data‑driven applications
- Working closely with subject‑matter experts to build bespoke modelling and simulation tools
- Selecting the right tech stack, architecture, and infrastructure for each product
- Demonstrating new features and gathering feedback from users
- Contributing to the long‑term technical direction of the product suite
This role offers genuine ownership: you’ll be the driving force behind the software roadmap, supported by a small team of consultants and technical specialists.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
A broad technical background, with experience in several of the following:
- Full‑stack development
- Python
- C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript
- VBA
- SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Power BI
- Linux and bash scripting
- Git
Experience with cloud technologies, mathematical or data modelling, 3D visualisation, or risk‑focused software is a bonus.
