We are now looking for a motivated and organised Service Advisor / Receptionist to join our team and become a key part of the business.

Role Overview

You will be the first point of contact for customers, managing the front of house, handling bookings, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the workshop. This is a key role that directly impacts customer satisfaction and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communication & Front of House

  • Handle all inbound calls, emails, and walk-in customers professionally
  • Manage customer enquiries and provide accurate information
  • Keep customers updated on the progress of their vehicle
  • Manage expectations on timing, costs, and required work
  • Handle complaints calmly and escalate where necessary
  • Follow up with customers after job completion to ensure satisfaction and encourage reviews

Bookings & Diary Management

  • Manage all MOT, service, and repair bookings
  • Maintain and optimise the workshop diary to maximise ramp utilisation
  • Send booking confirmations and reminders
  • Manage the online booking system
  • Coordinate daily workload with the workshop team
  • Schedule repeat service and MOT reminders

Administration & Invoicing

  • Raise and send invoices for completed jobs
  • Accurately record job details in the system
  • Maintain customer and vehicle records
  • Chase outstanding payments in a professional manner
  • Handle general office administration tasks
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and professional

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a service advisor, receptionist, or customer service role (automotive experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident handling customers in person and over the phone
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Professional, reliable, and well-presented
  • Driving licence essential
