Production Operative

Manpower is currently recruiting for a Processing Operative to join a busy recycling facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment, with the potential for an immediate start for the right candidate.

Location

• Site location requires own or reliable transport

Shift Pattern

• Monday – Friday (6am‑2pm/ 3pm‑11pm on rotation)
• 8‑hour shifts
• Shift‑based work, which may include weekends

Pay Rate

• £13.04ph

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery to process lead/acid safely and efficiently
• Carrying out manual handling and lifting of heavy materials
• Following all start‑up and shutdown procedures for equipment
• Ensuring correct use of PPE at all times
• Assisting with loading/unloading materials where required
• Completing all necessary paperwork and records accurately

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse, recycling, or industrial environment

Skills

• Strong awareness of health & safety practices
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑intensity environment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new machinery and processes
• Willingness to work with hazardous and corrosive materials
• Happy working in a high‑temperature environment
• Mandatory use of specialist PPE, including protective suits and respiratory equipment
