Deputy Nursing Home Manager

Job Summary

Stephen James Consulting is working with one of its established elderly care providers in the search for a Clinical Deputy Home Manager based in Suffolk. We’re seeking an experienced, qualified nurse-deputy to support the Home Manager in day‑to‑day leadership, maintaining high standards of clinical care and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Home Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the home.
• Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams.
• Oversee audits, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
• Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and supervision.
• Work with the leadership team to maintain and improve quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Active UK NMC PIN (RGN or RMN).
• Experience within a nursing home environment.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and clinical governance.
• Leadership experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or senior nurse.

Compensation & Work Pattern

The role offers a salary of £60,000, working 45 hours per week, with participation in the on‑call rota. It is a largely supernumerary role with a Monday‑Friday working pattern.
