Connect Appointments is recruiting a Forklift Driver to join our East Kilbride-based manufacturing client on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Our client is an established manufacturer offering a supportive working environment that places its people first.
What’s on offer?
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (early finish on Fridays)
- 13.33 per hour, increasing to 13.99 after probation (around 12 weeks)
- Paid weekly
- Immediate starts available
As a Forklift Driver, your duties will include:
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in a busy industrial environment
- Stacking, moving and relocating goods to designated storage and loading areas
- Unloading deliveries and consolidating partial pallets
- Keeping forklift operating areas clear of spills and obstructions
- Carrying out regular equipment checks and reporting any faults
The ideal Forklift Driver will have:
- A valid Counterbalance xwzovoh licence
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Good spatial awareness and attention to detail
- A solid understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements
- The ability to work well as part of a team
