Each of the people we support have individual interests, needs and care plans. Having recently moved from a different property, your responsibility will be to support the people we care for with their transition into their new home, ensuring they can continue with all their favourite activities.As a Support Worker (Waking Night), you will empower and promote independence in the people we support during the night, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. You will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of care and providing guidance to the team on shift. Your role will include monitoring individuals throughout the night, accurately recording any achievements, health observations, outcomes, and concerns. You will also develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure a calm, positive night-time environment and the best possible outcomes.ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, person-centred care and supervision throughout the night, supporting the wellbeing and comfort of the people in the home.Record night-time observations, incidents and wellbeing checks clearly, ensuring accurate handovers to the day team.Follow care plans, behaviour support strategies and safeguarding protocols, escalating concerns where required.Complete agreed night-time domestic tasks, ensuring the home remains clean, safe and well-presented for the following day.Work confidently during waking night shifts, maintaining professionalism, calm decision-making and strong communication at all times.What we’re looking forPrevious experience in a care or support role is desirable (waking night experience beneficial but not essential).A care-related qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Health & Social Care or equivalent) is desirable.Warm, person-centred approach with a strong focus on safeguarding, wellbeing and maintaining professional boundaries.Calm, resilient and proactive with the ability to work independently overnight and respond appropriately in unexpected situations.Strong communication and teamwork skills, ensuring accurate recording, confident lone working, and effective handover with day staff.Salary & Benefits£26,468.87 – £27,680.47Healthcare Cashback (dental, optical, physio, wellbeing)Care Friends Referral rewards up to £2000Bright Stars bonus scheme & Employee of the Month awardsFree Meals on ShiftLife Assurance Policy – 2x salaryCycle to Work SchemeSafeguarding RequirementSuccessful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
