Maintenance Technician (Mechanical/Electrical) Co. Tipperary Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 Days off 9am – 9pm or 5am – 5pm Vickerstock are proud to be partnering with a leading player in the European agri-food sector to recruit a Maintenance Technician for their site in Cahir. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering team within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Working as part of the maintenance function, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of plant machinery through a combination of preventative and reactive maintenance. Your new role as a Maintenance Technician Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all plant equipment Responding to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime Performing fault finding, repairs, and servicing on mechanical and/or electrical systems Conducting daily start-up checks to ensure operational readiness Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation Supporting continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety and hygiene standards Working collaboratively with production teams to support plant performance What you will need to succeed Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment Mechanical or electrical qualification (or time-served apprenticeship) Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and a proactive approach Experience within food production is advantageous but not essential For a confidential discussion or to apply, please contact Vickerstock today….
