The Opportunity
Infraspec are supporting a leading global consultancy in the recruitment of Project Controls Engineers to join their growing infrastructure team.
This is an opportunity to work on major programmes across sectors such as rail, utilities, energy, and complex infrastructure, supporting delivery on high-value and high-profile projects.
You will play a key role in supporting project delivery through effective planning, cost control, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
The Role
As a Project Controls Engineer, you will support the development and management of integrated project controls across time, cost, and risk.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of project programmes
- Assisting with progress tracking, updates, and reporting cycles
- Contributing to cost control and forecasting activities
- Supporting risk management processes and maintaining risk registers
- Producing clear and structured reports for project teams and clients
- Working closely with planners, commercial teams, and project managers
- Supporting the delivery of accurate and reliable project data
What We’re Looking For
We are interested in candidates with a foundation in project controls who are looking to develop within a structured consultancy environment.
You may have experience in:
- Planning or scheduling (e.g. Primavera P6 or MS Project)
- Project controls, cost, or reporting roles
- Infrastructure, engineering, or construction environments
- Working with project data, dashboards, or reporting tools
We are particularly interested in individuals who:
- Communicate clearly and confidently
- Take ownership of their work
- Have a proactive and structured approach
- Are keen to develop within project controls
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Understanding of NEC contracts
- Experience within a consultancy or client-side environment
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI
