Role Overview

At Aston Martin, we are redefining the future of luxury performance through our Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division. We are looking for an experienced and driven SVO Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high‑value vehicle programmes from early concept through to Start of Production.

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for day‑to‑day execution of SVO programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Aston Martin’s exceptional quality standards.
  • Translate product strategy into clear operational plans, leading programmes from initial definition to production readiness.
  • Lead the Project Steering Team, set governance and rhythm, and maintain oversight of risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Manage project scope, control costs, and maintain detailed programme plans that track progress against key milestones and gateway deliverables.
  • Actively manage risks across cost, quality and timing, implementing mitigation strategies and escalations where necessary.
  • Support core engineering and build activities, including BOM management, change control processes and physical build phases.
  • Ensure the right resources are in place to meet delivery requirements, and maintain strong collaboration across project teams, Vehicle Line Managers and Programme Leads.
  • Manage and develop a team of Project Leaders, setting clear objectives and building capability for best‑in‑class delivery.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clear insights, reporting and guidance to support strategic decision‑making.

Qualifications

  • Strong engineering foundation, supported by a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex vehicle programmes or systems within an OEM or similar environment.
  • Experience within structured New Product Introduction frameworks such as MISSION or GPDS and a deep understanding of full vehicle programme lifecycles.
  • Confidence leading cross‑functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership style that motivates teams and creates an environment focused on delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complexity.
  • Proficiency with project planning and reporting tools and a proactive mindset for problem‑solving and risk management.

Additional Information

  • Occasional travel to other Aston Martin sites; a full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
