About the role
Based in Stocksfield, Northumberland, the Operations Manager will play a key role in leading the day‑to‑day running of our Claims function and supporting teams. This is a hands‑on operational leadership role focused on:
- Turning KPIs into clear priorities
- Keeping workflows moving and removing blockers
- Supporting team performance and development
- Building strong relationships with clients and suppliers
- Bringing structure, clarity, and consistency to a fast‑moving environment
You’ll be the person who ensures the operation runs smoothly, efficiently, and proactively — with a sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of commercial awareness.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing daily operations and managing workload priorities
- Spotting bottlenecks and taking action to move cases forward
- Providing insight and updates for client meetings and management reporting
- Leading and developing a small team
- Driving continuous improvement across processes, reporting, and workflow
- Supporting compliance, quality standards, and audit activity
What we’re looking for
- Strong operational management experience (any sector)
- Confident communicator who builds great relationships
- Commercially aware, diplomatic, and solutions‑focused
- Able to interpret KPIs and turn insight into action
- Comfortable challenging constructively and holding people accountable
- Skilled at creating structure and clarity in a busy environment
- (Desirable) Experience in claims, legal services, or insurance
