Prep Centre Manager – Milton Keynes
Hours: Monday to Friday, NO weekends
Salary: Up to £40,000
This is working for one of the UK’s largest car dealership groups, operating since 1908 with over 50 branches nationwide. They are an official franchised dealer for many of the country’s top car and commercial vehicle brands, including Ford, Kia, Mazda, and Vauxhall.
Prep Centre Manager Duties
- Manage daily operations of the vehicle preparation centre
- Plan and control workflow to meet agreed preparation timescales
- Ensure all vehicles undergo mechanical checks, PDI, servicing, MOT prep and cosmetic preparation
- Monitor turnaround times and stock ageing
- Manage labour efficiency and workshop productivity
- Control preparation costs and budgets
- Liaise closely with Sales, Service, and Parts departments
- Organise valeting
- Prep of 100 cars per month
Prep Centre Manager Requirements
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Centre Manager or transferable skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with both internal and external stakeholders
- Managed a team
