What you’ll be doing

A Account Director You Will

  • Lead the strategy for a defined Area or Sector, contributing to the wider Regional Civils and UK Construction Services (UKCS) Work Winning Strategy
  • Undertake and coordinate all associated research, strategic reviews, and internal communication
  • Lead business development activity using “high value selling” principles, engaging key stakeholders across the business to build strong, multi-level client relationships
  • Develop and maintain a resilient pipeline of opportunities across frameworks and competitive bidding routes
  • Lead account management implementation, maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers
  • Monitor market conditions, identifying trends and proactively developing relationships with new clients

Who we’re looking for

You’ll need the following

  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively to develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Thorough experience and knowledge of business development and creating negotiated framework and bid opportunities

Desirable

  • Understanding of the built environment and wider construction sector
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement routes and contract models
  • Experience of Miller Heiman or a similar high-value selling approach
  • Construction sector experience and/or relevant professional qualifications that enhance your ability to understand and meet customer requirements
