Solutions Architect

A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Solution Architect (VP level) to join their development team on a contract basis. This role will play a key part in shaping architectural standards, driving cloud adoption, and supporting the delivery of scalable, secure enterprise solutions.

The Role

You will be responsible for defining and maintaining architectural standards across a complex development environment, supporting both on-premise and Azure cloud-based systems.

This is a hands-on architecture role where you will:

• Design high-level solution architectures for enterprise applications
• Lead and support cloud migration initiatives (on-prem → Azure)
• Create and review architectural blueprints and best practices
• Contribute to critical code development and conduct code reviews
• Support integration of AI technologies into existing systems
• Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and support teams
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of .NET / C# ecosystems
• Experience designing scalable cloud and on-prem solutions (Azure)
• Solid knowledge of software architecture principles and SDLC
• Experience with Agile / Scrum and DevOps practices
• Experience in cloud migration planning and delivery
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Exposure to AI technologies and integration into business systems

Additional Information

• Contract: 6 months initial (likely extension)
• Occasional out-of-hours support may be required
